If you use Zillow for information regarding the value of your home or to look for a new home please read because buyers and sellers should be able to expect transparency with the brokers they choose to work with and because so many buyers & sellers think Zillow is a trustworthy site!!! Recently Zillow became their own brokerage which means they can buy and sell real estate. How’s that bad you ask? Well first of all if you’ve heard of Open Door..., Purple bricks etc you may know they claim to buy houses without a hassle so you the consumer aren’t inconvenienced BUT they buy them at a huge discount and require repairs which can add up to thousands. They claim to do it for less than traditional realtors , however instead of calling it commissions they call all line items fees costing you potentially 10’s of thousands of dollars! Why am I telling you this? Because today Zillow has made changes to their websites. Agents were able to claim profiles on there and add their sales and reviews making it a great place to learn about agents you may be interviewing. Today it’s all gone! It shows that I made Zero sales in the past 12 months and wiped out all of my sales for 2019/2020. PLEASE, if you’re looking to buy or sell this year ask me to set you up on a search so you can get complete and accurate information and not be tricked into working with Zillow if you inadvertently click on a button while browsing. I won’t hassle you until you ask me for more help and you’ll be able to do your own search. Thinking about selling?
