Happy Monday!!! We got home yesterday and I'm doing about 10 loads of laundry. Do you unpack right when you get home or do you wait? I am a walk in the door, unpack everything, put everything away, THEN shower and chill person. But laundry is another story....

Being so happy to be here with my family but so sad we can't do snow mini sessions

We are going somewhere tomorrow!! We are leaving our house and actually going somewhere! We are headed to Big Bear which is apparently the only place in the country that isn't cold and snowy but should be Thinking of everyone dealing with this horrible icy cold situation. It is so scary and heartbreaking and I hope this weekend brings some warmth and healing I researched places to donate and have added a button for a nonprofit that is providing hotel rooms, food, gift cards, and supplies!

Updated their black and white minis because somehow it has been a year!! How?? They have changed so much, grown so much, matured so much, learned so much. I love these faces and have both wished them off to school and held them tighter this year because that is the beauty and curse of being a mama. Hope everyone is hanging in there, this week has seemed harder for me (even though it's only Wednesday!). Love to you all!

IT HAS BEEN A YEAR. I chose the photos that made me laugh, made me gasp, made me feel love, made me feel joy...made me feel! Every year I give a free session away to one of my customers. These black and white minis are still some of my favorite sessions to date. So classic, simple, and timeless. I will probably do them next year as a mini if there is a want for them. They are my favorite!!!

This girl is 4 on Christmas Eve and she was such a character! She wanted to see the back of my camera so I showed her. "Oh I look good!"-Her "You look so cute!"-Me "Oh I know."-Her... It was hilarious and done in such a confident yet humble way She was a joy!

I have 15 minutes with you in a mini and my thoughts are "How can I get a genuine connection?" "How can I get you moving?" "How can I make pretty art with your beautiful family?" It might feel chaotic at times on your side but I promise you through my lens I only see your family and all of the love you have for each other. Yes I get the posed smiling Christmas card photo at the beginning, but then we play :)

Today my baby is 9!!!! Last year in single digits. I could list a million reasons why I love him and why I'm so proud to be his mom but it can all be summed up by saying he's just a really all around great person. Happy Birthday, I love you Bubba!!!
