When we were house mates 11 years ago I loved the early morning walks we would take in the neighborhood. A deeply intuitive and endearing soul, I am so grateful to call Melissa a dear friend and it is so fun to see what she is creating with new coaching business. Good morning! Rise & Shine! A new day has arrived, filled with possibilities!

Dear Dancing Hands clients, friends and family, I miss you! It's hard to believe that my doors have been shut for 10 weeks due to Covid 19. We're all going through our personal versions of surrendering and processing, and it's been challenging for everyone! As we surf the waves of uncertainty and financial insecurity amidst an extreme level of collective grief and anxiety we must be gentle with ourselves.... After adjusting to my new reality I choose to embrace this time as an incredible opportunity to slow down and go inward. For me, it's been a time of deep reflection, a chance to recharge and brainstorm creative ideas. Who knew it could feel so rewarding to putter around the house all day? Organizing, weeding, and even starting a garden, I have had the chance to slowly work on all the things I never have time for. It's created space and time to be at home with my family. I'm teaching my 6 year old how to play chess and we play almost daily, reading Nancy Drew books out loud one after the other, and enjoying the time we have to just play. Many days cooking and baking yummy treats in the kitchen is the big accomplishment of the day I hope you and your loved ones are taking good care of yourselves during this big pause". It's been an opportunity to get creative! Soaking up a little sunshine, fresh air, and drinking plenty of water are easy ways to practice daily self-care. There's time for meditation, and plenty of free online yoga and exercise classes that don't require props or equipment. On Tuesday, we officially entered into a soft reopening of Phase 3 in most counties of California. Hair salons and barbers can reopen with safety protocols in place. Nail salons, gyms, and other personal services (including massage) don't have the green light yet, though I'm hopeful that it'll happen soon! My plan is to reopen slowly, on a limited schedule basis.
