It is with heavy hearts that we announce the closure of our beloved studio. When the pandemic first started, none of us had any idea how long it would last, so we held out hope that things would soon return to normal. We got a PPP loan and pivoted to streaming classes so that we could continue to serve our clients and pay our rent and employees. In the ensuing months, it became clear that indoor fitness would take a long time to bounce back (if ever). Sadly, we've reached a p...oint where we can no longer afford to ride this wave of uncertainty, and have made the difficult decision to shutter our business permanently this coming Saturday 10/17. We first opened the Mission-Castro studio on October 22, 2011, almost nine years to the date of its scheduled closure. Back then, the space was merely a hollow shell that was soon filled with thumping music, graceful movement of bodies in motion, groans of exertion (and sighs of relief when the intensity had subsided), plus the joyous laughter (and sometimes crying) of infants and toddlers in childcare. The studio was our first 'baby,' followed by the birth of our daughter Zahara, who got to grow up there and know so many of you. The physical space is returning to a hollow shell, but we hope the spirit of what we created will live on in your memory. Words cannot express the profound gratitude we have for these amazing nine years - they were life-changing for us personally and professionally, and we are forever touched to know the positive impact our studio had on so many people's lives. This space would have been nothing without our incredible community of clients, teachers, and staff - you gave our work purpose, you motivated us to show up and be our best selves, and your hard work inside the classroom inspired us endlessly.
