It’s doesn’t look like much, but in this little room we provide a service to many customers who purchase their bird right here! Directly from our farm. . I make it a point to ask what are you cooking today? Knowing the answer is either Mole, or Caldo. Two popular Mexican dishes I just love to see the look of excitement on their faces! ... Maybe it’s because I can relate. Both are special dishes I grew up with and enjoy regularly. . Anybody else enjoy Mole or Caldo?

There has been so much talk this week about the future...so many what if’s I can’t even count a lot to think about for sure. . It is certainly important to look ahead and plan as best you can but in my opinion it’s so very important to be present. I don’t want to miss the good stuff. . It’s another day and Brents just blowing off feathers, I’m going to sit here and watch him there will come a day I will miss this ...... #practicebeingpresent #lovelife #simplelifehappylife .

The days can run long and often bleed into the early morning hours fixing things ourselves to save a little money and talking through next steps in our projects. . Evenings are not typical around here that’s for sure, but we are making it work, Some days better than others... . It often feels like progress is moving slow, but to look back I can see so much change and in the middle of all that we are working other jobs and raising little ones. ... . Deciding what direction to move the business into can be daunting down right intimidating and can cause one to doubt oneself so we lean on each other and every resource possible. . A quote that was recently shared by Mary @m5entrepreneurs said doubt kills more dreams than failure ever will i absolutely believe this to be true especially if you sit in solitude...support like this is what ya need to hear when you begin to wonder is it worth it? . So we get up another day and push ourselves just a little more to work towards our future life and never ever forget to thank GOD for all that he provides at the pace he provides it in. . . . . #godisincontrol #latenightgrinding #farmlifebestlife #howbaddoyouwantit #hustleandgrind #realmen #countryboys #cloviscalifornia #sangercalifornia #daddinoseggranch #poultryfarming #godloving #fresnocalifornia #godfamilycountry @lola.daddino @lolamalia See more

It’s going to get CRAZY HOT Since March many of you have picked up layers from us to raise your new flock and we think that’s Amazing! But I am also worried because this heat is going to affect many birds . So here’s the deal, if you are new to raising birds and live in an area where the temperatures get into the high 90’s or even hit over 100 degrees be proactive and not reactive...cool water, shade, fans, misters will make a difference. .... My father in law Gary and I stood outside one of the greenhouses checking on birds because it had been a HOT day and foggers (misters) ran most of the day making things a little wet which we don’t like I said to him how else do we keep them comfortable? Meaning prevent heat exhaustion or even death...They have shade, cool water, fans and misters... . He said, I wish there was another way? . In my opinion 50+years of successfully raising poultry makes my father in law Gary the expert! So I believe him when he says, Outside of putting all these birds in huge temperature controlled buildings these are some of the best ways... . My mother in law Susan shared that back when there were 20,000 layers on this farm and the temperatures were ridiculously high they had to spray down the birds just to bring their body temperature down...I can’t even imagine the stress that must have been . So friends and family...if you haven’t already please get the necessary things in place to keep your ladies cool and stress free in this this heat. . #poultryfarming #daddinoseggranch #farminginheat #heatwave #egglayers #isabrownchickens #cloviscalifornia #poultrymeat

It is such a great feeling to see many of you embracing new skills and reaching out directly to your local farmers for meat options. . Lili came out to visit us and she said she saw the video we posted in our story on poultry meat and thought it would be great to learn how to finish processing and cutting up a whole bird. . Nice job Lili Limon!

These two Silkies wanted nothing to do with any other bird...Yesterday I said to Brent that I thought they had their beeks up at all the the other birds or maybe they just needed quality time alone? #silkiesofinstagram #blackmeatchicken #chickenfarmers #poultrymeat #homesteading #daddinoseggranch #daddinofamilyfarm

I snapped this picture a few nights ago as we were out back & Brent cleaned up the barn... . I thought about all the good and bad years this old barn has probably seen. .... If this Barn could talk what would it say? . I imagine it would talk about just how hard and stressful it got sometimes...but I also imagine it would talk about all the fulfilling years of working together as a family and how that made getting through some difficult days a little easier.... . . #farmlifebestlife #blueskies #loveandfamily #weatherthestorm #chickenfarmers #thisoldbarn #barnwood #daddinofamilyfarm #daddinoseggranch #cloviscalifornia

Thank you @FresnoBee for the highlight in today’s paper...We cannot do it alone, and we are thankful for every hand that plays a role in producing, picking, packing, shipping, delivering and selling food. It is truly wonderful how We have come together as a community.
