We just finished a facelift on this great local home. The owners are transitioning from traditional to contemporary and I love the ‘easy on the eye’ sage/taupe tones.

We started putting some of the 'jewelry' in this stunning home. Cabinet hardware and lighting fixtures add the personality to a space.

We installed everything at a UCLA sorority this week. Kind of a fun diversion from our normal. We used deep Aubergine and Burgandies to fit their colors but still speak softly to this huge 1920's Spanish home. Hope we can do more when next year's budget is released. Have a great year, ladies!

There is a fabulous art gallery at the Design Center in Laguna Hills, CA; Westervelt's Fine Art. The owner, Carol, held an event to highlight the advantages of 'Starting with the Art' when designing a home or just a room. She asked 5 designers to select a piece from her stock and design a room around it. She tasked us with a contemporary and a more traditional room (or whatever we wanted to do). I think mine came out more Feminine/Masculine. We all came up with different presentations. (Big surprise!) We had a great time and the 150 guests really loved having a glimpse into the process. This is Christy Nimeh who is the 'oh so talented artist' of the painting I selected. Some would say that I am biased toward her art. They would be right. I have one of her pieces in my own home.
