I hate people that write status updates they don't mean. Here is a story that happened recently... I was on a music producers group on Facebook. I'll be nice and not mention the name. I posted some tutorials and free lessons on there. The mod took the posts down and said he didn't want a competing service and only wanted to direct people to his own company. I told him that seems very selfish since everyone in the group would like to know the information and it is supposed to ...be an open place for producers and people to learn. He disagreed. A few weeks later, today, he writes a status/post along the lines of "Producers don't want to share knowledge because their afraid of competition and not sharing knowledge is selfish." I replied along the lines of "This from the guy who took my free lesson posts down because he didn't want to compete with another teacher." Needless to say I was banned from the group lol. But I will say this. After he did that a few weeks ago, I started to believe there is a need for a safe space where music producers and music creators can share knowledge and tips. The entire 90s #1 hit R&B group Az Yet shocked un-expecting people by jumping onto the mics in at a random booth at Namm 2020 for a secret show and I was there to record it. I bumped into the guys just before the show by accident so I was able to capture the whole performance.
