Time to get real: This quarantine is SCARY. The world and the rippling effects of this pandemic are SCARY. There’s no easy way to sugarcoat this. Every detail of my everyday life has been affected. I can’t shower, eat, do homework, or watch a movie without a constant reminder of this isolation. What you’re seeing is not a lazy student who is ignoring their professor lecturing because they don’t care. What you see is a person who is doing their best to cope with the crappy ci...rcumstances. If your anxiety is overwhelming, it’s okay to self-care. If your depression is painful, it’s okay to self care. Here is the sign you’re looking for: Find little things that calm you down and ground you during these chaotic times. There is no shame in making sure you’re okay.
