Join us for the next Senior Advisory Council Meeting on Monday, January 25 from 1 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. The Senior Advisory Council is a group of volunteers representing the needs and requests of the Cupertino Senior Center membership. The Senior Advisory Council meets once every other month to discuss events the various social groups are engaging in and review projects pertaining to the center. The Senior Advisory Council is always looking for more members willing to provide insight or feedback about the center and staff members are very appreciative of the feedback we get from this dedicated group. Keeping the 50+ of our community connected during this shelter in place time is of great importance to us. Last month, we sent out more than 650 Season's Greetings packages to seniors in our community for some festive cheer. Each package included some hot cocoa, tea, mini candy canes, a holiday magnetic train frame, and a personalized card. In supporting our mission, personalized cards were made by youth from Harker Key Club, Monta Vista Octagon, Lynnbrook Leo Club, Letters for Rose - Cupertino High Chapter, Say Smiles, Care Cards, and employees of local Starbucks locations. Special thanks to Harker Key Club and Starbucks for donating hot cocoa and tea. Appointments can be made from 9:30 a.m. through 3:45 p.m. Appointments are available for everyone--you do not need to be a senior or a member of the Senior Center. The test site at Cupertino Senior Center is designed for people without symptoms. If you or a person looking for a COVID-19 test have symptoms, contact your health care provider.... A huge thank you goes out to Cupertino’s Neighborhood Block Leaders!
