The California Tow Truck Association (CTTA) and the Emergency Road Service Coaltion of America (ERSCA) are aware of the unfortunate incident in Watsonville this... past weekend in which AAA failed to provide service to a stranded nurse due to fears over her contact with COVID-19 patients. Because towing companies are at the front line of roadside emergencies, we are particularly sensitive and grateful to those, like our front line health care providers, that are placing their personal health in danger to protect others. While we believe current protocols exist that could have prevented this concerning event from occurring, CTTA and ERSCA as industry leaders will continue to offer training and safety protocols to our members and industry partners, like AAA, to help keep stranded motorists and our drivers safe during this unprecedented pandemic. UPDATE: Letter from CTTA President to CA Towing Operators Regarding their Safety During COVID-19 Health Crisis:

On December 9th, 2019, the California Tow Truck Association made a donation of 100 CTTA SilhoLight Safety Vests to the Washington Unified School District in Sac...ramento. Days are getting darker earlier and many of the schools in the district are located in fog-prone areas. This donation will give those who shepherd the area’s children an extra layer of protection! Yard duties and crossing guards are ecstatic about these vests. CTTA’s Operations Manager attended the December Board Meeting of the District and was presented with a certificate thanking CTTA for the donation.
