It has been such a pleasure being able to care for your children again! To help ensure that we maintain the highest safety levels for our staff and patients, please review our new appointment guidelines: -Please have children brush their teeth at home before their appointment. We will ask older children to also rinse with an antiseptic mouthwash at the office before we begin -We ask that ONE adult accompany patients to the office and remain in the reception area or outside d...uring the appointment -Please call us when you arrive -We ask that all adults and children wear their own face covering to and from the office -We will check your temperature and ask all entering the office to clean their hands Please check your email or texts prior to the appointment to complete your child's health screening form -Please maintain social distancing while in the office Thank you and see you soon!

We are looking forward to seeing your smiles soon! If your children have appointments that were cancelled due to our mandated closure, we will be contacting you over the next few weeks to discuss rescheduling your visit. Here are our new looks, make sure to show your kids ahead of time!

We hope you are safe and doing well. As we begin to prepare our office and get ready to treat patients, we will continue to follow recommendations set by our governing authorities. In doing so, there will be limitations to our patient volume and services rendered, as well as enhancements to our personal protective equipment(PPE). We would like to thank you for your patience as we try to address the dental care needs of your child in a timely manner. We will be doing every...thing we can to help make up for the lost time we had during the mandated closure. Over the coming days, our office staff will be calling all families to either confirm or reschedule your child’s appointment. There is no need to call our office unless your child is experiencing an emergency such as dental trauma or severe tooth pain. Caring for your child/ children is an honor and privilege and we look forward to working through this together. See more

Thank you for your continued patience and understanding through this unprecedented time. It has been 6 weeks since we have had to close our doors and we miss being a part of your dental care and of your families. We are working diligently to enhance our office policies and protocols so as to maintain the highest level of safety for our staff, patients and families. We do not have a reopening date identified yet, but please know we can be reached via email and also phone for questions and emergencies. We will be in touch for those who need their appointments rescheduled once we do know our opening date. We are hoping the best for all of you and are truly looking forward to being back for you soon. Sincerely, Dr. Mahnaz and Dr. Natalie

We would like to update all of our patient families on the status of our office during this ever changing COVID-19 pandemic. As we all know, Santa Clara County as well as the rest of our state has issued a Shelter in Place Order requesting that all non essential persons stay at home to help reduce the spread of COVID-19. Along with this order, the American Dental Association, California Dental Association and the Santa Clara County Dental Society have set down guidelines an...d recommendations limiting patient dental care to emergencies only. As a result, our office will remain closed at this time. It is our hope and intent to reopen as soon as our local, state, and federal officials deem it safe to do so. At this time, we do not know the exact date of reopening our office. We will contact those with upcoming, previously scheduled appointments individually by email. Please disregard text messages you may receive. If your child is having a dental emergency or injury, please call our office at 408-446-4353. The voicemail will direct you to our doctor on call and we will make sure to address your child’s needs. During our time away from the office, we will have limited access to email, however, we will be doing our best to communicate any changes or important dates to you all as they come along. We miss all of our patients’ smiling faces and stories so much. Please be well until we are able to care for your dental needs again. It is our honor to be partners in your families’ dental health. Feeling very grateful today that we could donate 400 masks and some disinfecting wipes from our office to a local hospital to help support our medical community! Stay healthy and stay home!

Dear Cupertino Pediatric Dentistry families and friends- After many conversations and much research and reading about the implications of COVID-19, we would like to share our honest point of view and communicate our plan moving forward. Fortunately, we have not had a patient present at our office with the coronavirus. Our practice has continued to undertake all of OSHA’s best practices for infection prevention and control as part of our normal, daily routine. However,... in light of the evolving situation and in compliance with the recommendations from the California Dental Association we have decided to close our office to all dental treatment as of March 16, 2020. We believe this closure will allow us to more effectively evaluate the dynamic situation and assist in the CDC’s guidance of social separation. If your child had an appointment scheduled with us in the coming 2 weeks, our office will be in touch to help reschedule their appointment. Our office will be open in the event of a dental emergency. Should your child require emergency dental care, please call our office as you normally would and you will be directed on how to get in touch with Dr. Gorgani or Dr. Vander Kam to address your child’s needs. We will continue to evaluate the situation as it evolves and determine when it is safe for us to return to our normal business hours. Please continue to monitor your email or our Facebook page for updates. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate this uncharted territory. Our care for our patients, our families and our dental team are driving these choices. With love and good health, Dr. Mahnaz Gorgani and Dr. Natalie Vander Kam
