Sza Sza sufrió violencia y persecución en su país de origen, lo que la llevó a buscar asilo y refugio aquí. Desde entonces, ha sido trasladada de una prisión para inmigrantes a otra, sometida a confinamiento solitario, ataques y acoso por parte de los guardias, colocada en instituciones para hombres, y una serie de otras horribles atrocidades. Ayude a poner fin a su encarcelamiento indefinido al presionar por su liberación. Sza Sza tiene cita de corte este viernes, 11 de Septiembre y estamos determinados a ayudar a sacarla de la detención y ponerla a salvo.

We are at a loss of words as our heart aches to announce that one of our beloved CUAV family members, Natalia Gasca Perez has passed away. Natalia was a beautiful soul, with an infectious laugh, great six inch heels, was very caring and compassionate and always willing to share her wisdom with her community. This year, Queer Women of Color Media Arts Project (QWOCMAP) will premiere 31 brand new films in 3 screenings during the first-time-ever online livestream of our entire Queer Women of Color Film Festival, June 12-14, 2020 at 7:00pm every night. Our 16th Anniversary Festival Focus SafeSpace/NoPlace: LBTQ People of Color, expands discussions about the meaning of safety for LBT...Q+ people of color, both outside on the streets and inside homes typically thought of as safe. All films are Subtitled for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing, and the live introductory remarks and interactive filmmaker Q&As will be entirely live captioned.
