Further zoom information will come soon. For now we would like to know which game would be prefered. Hi everyone! My name is Ani Ushikishvili (@aniush.k). I am an international student from Tbilisi, Georgia, here at Chico State on the MFA program in painting. Currently, I am working on a series of paintings based on memory and nostalgia. I am interested in strong emotional connections, and attachment to the places. In the process, I took photos of the surrounding neighborhoods, still-life scenes, and old places with distinctive features. That inspired me to translate my memo...ries and the photographs I have taken into these paintings. Hi there! My name is Chang-An Tu and I grew up in Taiwan and received my BFA degree at the National Taiwan University of Arts in 2016. I continue my graduate studies in painting here at CSU, Chico. My paintings are based on my observations of the environments from my experience of Chico. I am interested in creating imaginary space, narrative composition, and traversing freely between reality and the dreamworld. The process begins by taking photos of Chico for reference and de...constructing these photos by overlapping, and layering. My artwork depicts memory fragments to blend reality and imagination. I seek to give the viewer the opportunity to create more of a personal connection with the fictional space. This semester has looked different, we are normally running around the department with a camera capturing all of our classes, studios, and students hard at work. One of our big events every year is Open Studios, we open up our spaces and let everyone in to view what our BFA students are working on. This year, from home, our students are still hard at work. They have maneuvered how and where they are creating their pieces. In November we will be welcoming you into their spa...ces and letting you see what they are currently working on. We encourage you to engage and start following these artists. . . . @csuchicoartdept @csuchicohfa #chicocalifornia #chicoca #chicostate #chicostateart #chicoart #csuchicoartdepartment #csuchicoartdept #csuchico #csuchicohfa #ceramics #photography #digitalmedia #drawing #painting #printmaking #sculpture See more
