The fires have been devastating for so many people in Northern California. Two CSUH/EB music alumni, John and Patty Phillips, lost their home in Vacaville last month, and John was featured in a recent KRON4 report. We are so proud of Kate Fiano, MA in Music Education ’20, for her work and her scholarship. Kate won a 2019-2020 College of Letters, Arts, and Social Sciences Mary Harrington Outstanding University Thesis Award for her recently-completely master’s thesis. Kate’s thesis is entitled Middle School Music Technology and Composition Club: Curriculum Design and Challenges to Implementation.
