CSEA Long Beach Chapter 2 12.11.2020

The California School Employees Association is operating quite differently due to the COVID-19 global pandemic. However, this hasn't stopped our dedication to continue providing services during what we recognize as many of our members' greatest time of need. We are working to develop new solutions and transform what was previously standard day-to-day operations to make this happen. One of the services that has been impacted is the inability to print our quarterly publication,... the Retiree newsletter. We have developed a bridge solution with the health and safety of our members in mind to best meet their needs. I am proud to announce that the Summer 2020 issue of Retiree is in the same familiar format as the printed version, but now available as a scroll-able digital PDF and online here. As you will see, the difference in operation didn't compromise the quality of the newsletter, and we are very much committed to continue providing top-notch content. We will continue to produce an online version of the Retiree until our staff is back at Headquarters and able to print once again. At that point, we will assess if we will move to an email version or continue printing. In the coming weeks, you will receive Focus magazine in an exciting and dynamic new digital format as well. We are fortunate to have the ability to connect with you in new ways we never have before. As we soon enter a new phase of COVID-19, know that CSEA continues to keep your best interests at heart and in the forefront of any plans we make. In Solidarity, CALIFORNIA SCHOOL EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION

California's Valued Trust (CVT) - Specializing in Healthcare Benefits for the Education Community for over 35 years Did you know CSEA and California's Valued Trust (CVT) have a lot in common? Both are member-focused and member-driven.... CSEA helped to create CVT 35 years ago. Representatives of CSEA sit on the CVT Board, giving CSEA representation and a voice in CVT. What CVT Does; CVT provides health and welfare benefits to California's school districts. It's all they do. This allows their health plans to be carefully crafted, and provide more options and choices at the most affordable rates possible. CSEA supports chapters in negotiating healthcare benefits from large groups like CVT and other healthcare trusts. If you, your benefit administrator or bargaining representative want to know more about CVT's high quality, cost-effective health and welfare benefit offerings, call Anthony Pulliam, CVT Business Development Representative at (800) 288-9870 or visit CVtrust.org.
