Today we continue our spotlight series with Daisy! Hi, my name is Daisy and I’m a fourth year from Tehachapi, CA. I’m majoring in Political Science with a minor in Psychology. In my free time, I enjoy playing the guitar, hand lettering, and exploring the area with my friends! I joined Irvine Christian Students at the start of my second year. Out of all of my experiences in college, I can definitely say being in the club has been my greatest enjoyment. Over the years, I’ve not only gained more of God, but made companions and memories that will last a lifetime! This week, our student spotlight is Elijah. I'm a sophomore at UCI and I'm from the Bay Area in NorCal. I love to hike, camp, kayak, swim, and just about everything outdoors. During this past school year, Irvine Christian Students has been such a great source of support. Each week, I looked forward to the Friday night meetings where I was able to catch up with the guys and take a break from school work. It was a great time to recharge and spend time with other believers. I probably couldn't have made it through the year without the close knit community that welcomed me every Friday night. I hope more students can join!

We’re continuing our September Spotlight Series with Yi-Lin! Hi! My name is Yi-Lin and I am a senior from Cupertino, CA majoring in Human Biology. I joined Irvine Christian Students as a freshman and my favorite experience of the club is the singing time during our weekly ministry meetings where we can just turn away from our busy week and enjoy the Lord with fellow believers! Through the club I was not only able to meet wonderful friends who I can study and hang out with bu...t even spiritual companions who I can pursue the Lord together with in my college years. Even throughout the past months of remote learning, we still keep in contact by calling one another to pray and read the Word and the ministry. If you are looking for a supportive community of believers who simply love the Lord and enjoy Christ, Irvine Christian Students is the place for you I am also co-president of @btmuci, a community service club that recruits donors for blood cancer patients in need of a blood stem cell transplant. Additionally, I work at an OB/GYN clinic as a Medical Assistant and translator. This week, our student spotlight is Ryan! Ryan is a sophomore at IVC and is from Irvine, CA. Ryan enjoys cooking, playing table tennis and hanging out with friends. One of my highlights with Irvine Christian Students is the small group Bible studies. In these times I enjoyed getting into the riches of God’s word with other students and hearing each other’s sharing of what we personally enjoyed from the Word. Mark 1:15 says, "Repent and believe in the gospel." With an open heart to God, I believed in His truth and asked God to forgive me for all my sins. He cleansed me of all my unrighteousness so that I can receive His holy life and find true peace despite all chaos."
