Meet Piper and Prue! Can you tell them apart? (Honestly, it’s hard for us too!) These two are a happy well-adjusted duo who are clever, easy to purr and very chatty especially at feeding time. Meet Jorge! Jorgee is a wonderful, affectionate senior gal who loves to cuddle and will give love licks on your hand. She is a little chatty and will tell you about her day when you come home. At 18 years old, Jorgee has a lot of love in her to give a lucky human. Her previous human passed away and she has been with @homewardtrailsrescue ever since. Where are they meow? We caught up with one of our #CWalumni adopters who filled us in on how Nila (formerly Gingersnap) has been enjoying life after the cat cafe. Nila was adopted in December 2019 from our M street kitten cafe, after her adopter was gifted a surprise visit! Little did they know, that surprise would lead to an unforgettable first encounter. Wanting to meet as many kittens as possible, we picked a cozy corner on the floor to spend our hour at CW. We played... with a bunch of sweet cats, and kept track of their names to consider them for adoption. The entire time we were there, Nila slept curled up between us. Her calm companionship melted our hearts. At CW she liked to sleep inside a basket, and now at home she sleeps stretchedon her back, taking up half of the bed. Meet Chickpea and Pinto! These two are nearly identical siblings who are also bonded at the hip. Chickpea is the curious and playful sister. She is really fun and likes to get herself into really funny places like the watering can or inside an empty box lying around. She thinks everything is a game, and will put her arms up when she's getting belly rubs like it’s the best rollercoaster she’s ever been on (if cats could go on those). Pinto is the peaceful brother, who is gener...ally calm and loves to nap. He is affectionate and likes cleaning his sister and cuddling with her. He will also purr in your ear and snuggle you for hours. Chickpea goes with the flow, so if his sister wants to play or if you want to hold him on the couch he will gladly oblige.
