Today was one of those days when you realize why you're in this crazy finance business. Mainly I originate commercial loans but, I've started doing residential loans as well. So today, I was able to lock in a 2.5% rate with a payment that will enable the borrowers to save $770 per month in their mortgage payment. These people are not wealthy, totally middle class earning about $90K per year. Fostering children and taking care of parents. This savings is a real game changer fo...r these people. They've worked very hard over the years and struggled immensely. So today I'm passing along good news. Even to the broker who referred me to the lender I placed the loan with for my client. I called him and thanked him. He too should know that his actions affected others that he doesn't even know. Anyways, today is a good day. So far. :-)
