Morrison - Saturday, December 15 we remembered Scott Morrison by performing the Hero workout named in his honor. Here is a bit about Scott: Scottie, as he was known to family and friends graduated from Sycamore High School in 2005. He joined the Army after his high school friend, Pvt. Branden Haunert, died in combat in Tikrit, Iraq on May 18, 2008. Scott and Branden were best friends and Morrison wanted to honor himto take up where he fell. Scott enlisted in October 2008... as a combat engineer. He was assigned to 584th Mobility Augmentation Company, 20th Engineer Battalion, 36th Engineer Brigade, Fort Hood, since February 2009. He deployed to Afghanistan in December, 2009. Scott died on September 26, 2010, from injuries suffered on September 25 when insurgents in Kandahar, Afghanistan attacked his vehicle with an improvised explosive device. He is survived by his father Donald, mother Susan, brother Gary, and sister Katie. See more
