It’s difficult to photograph a box of goodies! This is our Holiday Treat Box; the picture is meant to show that it’s filled with cookies, candies, nuts, and granola, but it looks like I just put our logo sticker on a bunch of plastic bags. Still, I’m sure any host/ess would love it. You can also have them mailed to your loved ones around the country! Check out our website for more details.

I’ve been seeing a lot of these cross-section shots lately, and the reason is obvious. How pretty are the honeycomb layers of a fresh-baked croissant? So much work (and butter) in that one little pastry. Tangentially related: it feels a bit silly to be photographing your own hand on Park Street at 7am.

New fundraiser for the Alameda Food Bank! If you’re skipping trick-or-treating this year, you can always buy a variety pack of your favorite candies, but there’s no substitute for the random candies that end up at the bottom of the bucket. UNTIL NOW! 20+ pieces of truly assorted random candies, lovingly assembled. Suggested donation is $5; all proceeds will go to the food bank.
