Cricklewood Restaurant 09.11.2020

Well the two year mark came and went...not un-noticed but not commemorated. Michael and I were getting ready to leave for a very special trip and I was in my usual pre-trip frazzle. We are with friends in Vietnam, (Michael celebrated his 75th birthday here) heading to Cambodia tomorrow and then on to Thailand. There’s probably not a day we don’t think of Cricklewood and what it meant to us and how we miss it and all of you but the wound isn’t as raw and we know it will n...ever completely heal but it does get easier, I can talk about it without crying and/or swearing. Facebook tells me people are looking at this page but no one ever says anything...talk to me. Let me know how you are, if your house is finished, have you moved in, are you well? Miss you all, Lynette and Michael See more

I was trying to edit a response to a comment and apparently deleted the entire post, so here it is again We want to acknowledge and Thank Mark Neumann for his letter to the editor on Monday June 10, 2019. In case you missed it here it is Ode to Cricklewood... EDITOR: While I am grateful for the sign of recovery and excited to be able to visit to Willi’s Wine Bar in its new location, your characterization of Willi’s as the most prominent Sonoma County restaurant destroyed in the fires (Willi’s beginning anew, May 30) does a sad injustice to an even longer standing pillar of the Sonoma County restaurant community that we won’t get back. Cricklewood was a go-to for business lunches, pre-LBC event snacks and delicious prime rib dinners for thousands of Sonoma County locals and visitors alike. The warm welcome you could count on from Michael and Lynette O’Brien, who also lived on the property (and ergo lost their home in the fire), was always a treat and one of the best reasons to come by. This landmark of Sonoma County traditions is missed and a reminder that while the community will recover, some things won’t come back as they were. The building will be rebuilt, and I’m excited to see what great restaurant the Venturis will attract. But there will always be a place in my heart (and my stomach) that wishes Cricklewood were still around. Mark Neumann Santa Rosa See more

Cricklewood is thrilled that Sweet T’s is now open in Windsor! Make reservations or take a lot of patience with you. They are slammed busy and just as good as you remember!

One year. One year? ONE YEAR! Whew. I’m still heartbroken. I miss all of you and hope you are well and recovering as well as you possibly can.... I miss the wonderful cozy fireplace lounge, that beautiful bar! I miss the sandblasted booth dividers. I miss the booths! I miss the regular customers who did their date nights there every week. I miss the families that celebrated every milestone with us, graduations, drivers licenses, babies born, families visiting...any excuse was a good excuse. Our lives will never be the same and neither will yours. We can only hope they will be better and as time goes by I’m sure they will be... Be well, be happy, love one another and remember all the great meals and good times at Cricklewood. Lynette and Michael See more

I must say, after almost 11 months, I am humbled and amazed when I check my Facebook and see I have 17 new views ! No one says anything so I have no idea who or why you have looked here. Cricklewood was a wonderful place. Great food, warm surroundings and a welcoming staff (not to mention Gracie) but it is no more. Nor will it be again...we are retired. After months of discussion we have decided it was a great run, but it’s done. Thank you all for your support and love Michael OBrien & Lynette McGee

10 months today but it seems like a lifetime ago and at the same time with the smoke from the Complex fires, it feels like yesterday. As far as I know Sweet T’s is still in negotiations for the old Cricklewood site, 4618 Old Redwood Hwy, but nothing appears to be happening there. I will let you know as soon as I know. I wish you all love, health and happiness. Lynette

It’s so hard, after serving such quality food for so long, going to other restaurants that either don’t know the difference or don’t care. I am so tired of being disappointed.

You probably think I’ve forgotten or missed the date but neither is true. I remember but it’s easier to handle now and I know I did the best I could, so no more 2:30 - 3:00 am sessions of second guessing myself and beating myself up. Thank you Body Code! and no waiting for life to return to normal, thank you Gregg Braden. This is the new reality/ normal and I embrace it. As much as I loved my old life it’s over, in one hellacious night it was ripped away and now I can see the... possibilities that I would never have seen before. Does this mean I don’t miss you all terribly? Of course not and if I ever start another business I will have everyone’s last name and email but that didn’t happen this time. I wish you love, health and happiness and if you want you send me your email please do. Michael and I have been out of the county for about 5 weeks now and will return at the end of the month. I will check in with you again when I have more info about what’s happening at Cricklewood’s old address. Love Lynette See more

8 months ago today all of our lives changed forever. It was terrifying, chaotic and unstoppable but today I don’t know if it was a bad thing for us. Michael has some medical issues that we are attending to that he would have continued to ignore because we didn’t have time to spare...well, now we have time. We are in a wonderful healing place with the support of family (Kimo, Kris and Jane thanks for watching our fur babies) and friends.... Thank you for your love, prayers and healing energies being sent our way. See more

I’m needing a little help. We had a couple who used to come in evenings. She is an architect and his name is Ferdinand, goes by Ferd. I’m sorry to say I can’t remember her name. They would sit in the lounge and share appetizers and visit with us. Do you happen to know them? Their last name? How they are? Thanks for any help Lynette

Michael and I were having lunch at The Pharmacy Cafe (990 Sonoma Ave) last Thursday and we were asked about Gracie... Want you all to know GRACIE LIVES! as does our other cat, George. (That no guest ever met) Gracie misses you and Cricklewood, where she was Queen. (Well she still is, but with fewer adoring fans)... And don’t miss The Pharmacy Cafe! Good food, good people, make their own gluten free bread. Love it See more
