COVID-19 - Multiple School Sports Bans Lifted We were very pleased to hear that the California Department of Public Health will be lifting the ban on some sports, including high contact outdoor sports like football, as of Friday, February 26. This announcement was just made today, and there are certain restrictions and conditions on moving forward. You can view the document below. We will work in the upcoming week to get any necessary clarification, to work with public health to meet any health-related mandates, and to allow CIF to provide additional guidance. We’re excited to move forward as quickly as possible. Go Warriors! CDPH Outdoor and Indoor Recreational Adults Sports Update - https://www.cdph.ca.gov//outdoor-indoor-recreational-sport

DNUSD: No Bus Service to Klamath Tomorrow, Friday, 2/19/21 *The following only applies to families living south of Last Chance Grade* Slide activity at Last Cha...nce Grade has increased due to the current storm, and Hwy 101 was closed for several hours today due to the slide. As we are expecting additional rain and potential slide activity in the next 12-24 hours and current wait times are in excess of 30 minutes, no bus service to Klamath will be offered tomorrow, Friday, 2/19/21. All Margaret Keating School, Crescent Elk, Del Norte High, and Sunset students who live south of Last Chance Grade will attend school through distance learning on Friday. If your child attends Margaret Keating and your child needs a space to access the internet tomorrow, please contact Margaret Keating. Food services will be available at Margaret Keating tomorrow, and food can be picked up curbside. Again, we understand the inconvenience that this situation imposed on our students and their families, but we want to be proactive regarding the safety of our students and staff. Families will be notified of any changes to these plans as soon as possible. If you have questions or concerns please email [email protected]

DNUSD: Bus Services Traveling from Klamath to Crescent City Canceled Thursday Due to Last Chance Grade *Only applies to families living south of Last Chance Grade* ... Due to continuing slide activity at Last Chance Grade and the arrival of a storm front that may bring 1-2 of rain in the next 24-36 hours, bus service from Klamath to Crescent City will not be offered tomorrow, Thursday, 2/18/21. All Crescent Elk, Del Norte High, and Sunset students who live in Klamath and ride a bus to Crescent City will attend school through distance learning on Thursday. Transportation will determine tomorrow, based on the condition of the road, whether bus service will be offered on Friday. Tomorrow, we anticipate that buses will be able to pick-up Margaret Keating students only, and take them to school, as scheduled. If the road is open in the afternoon, students will be transported home, as scheduled. If the road is closed, families will be notified as soon as possible, and alternative transportation home will be provided. Crescent Elk students who live in Klamath may also report to Margaret Keating School to use the internet. The school will provide a staffed room for them to use. They must bring their own laptop and participate in distance learning. To keep stable groups on the bus, Crescent Elk students will not be allowed to ride the bus with Margaret Keating students. Food services will be available at Margaret Keating tomorrow. For those students participating in distance learning, food can be picked up curbside. More information will be provided in the morning. We understand the challenges that this may present to students and families, but safety is of the utmost importance. Families will be notified of any changes to these plans as soon as possible. If you have any questions or concerns please email [email protected]
