Hello SEES Family. We just got word that SEES member and former Cal Poly Pomona ASI campus president, Uriah Sanders, is missing and has been added to the National Database for Missing Persons. He was last seen in Montclair, CA, eight miles from Cal Poly Pomona almost two weeks ago. Uriah has been a valued member of the SEES community for many years. If you see him, please call your local police or (909) 328-0917. Thank you!!!!!!

Hello SEES family. Please join me in congratulating this year’s Dr. Paul C. Hiemenz and Dr. Barbara A. Burke Scholarship Award recipients. The 2020 Hiemenz Scholarship award winner is Summer Blanco (Biology). The 2020 Burke Scholarship award winners are Camille Abeyta (Chemistry) and Jenevieve Segura (Kinesiology). The SEES program has benefited from their dedication to SEES students and to the many activities the program offers. All three individuals exemplify the type of student scholars that Cal Poly Pomona is very proud of. Congratulations to each of them on their wonderful accomplishments! They will all be honored at our Annual Dinner & Awards Reception. (L-R) Camille Abeyta (Burke Award), Jenevieve Segura (Burke Award), Summer Blanco (Hiemenz Award)

The SEES program put on summer camps for kids. In its 5th year, the Discovery Camps hosted 768 campers and brought in lots of scholarship money. Thank you to all the camp counselors.
