In March 2019, award winning and grammy-nominated composer Adam Schoenberg visits Cal Poly Pomona University to collaborate with Dr. Rickey Badua and the CPP Wind Ensemble on the premiere of "Rise" written for Wind Ensemble.

The Cal Poly Pomona University Bands invite you to attend our end of year concert titled SONGS & DANCES Wednesday, May 30th @ 8:00PM (PST) in the Cal Poly Pomona University Theatre. The concert program will feature the iconic masterwork "La Fiesta Mexicana" by H. Owen Reed (in collaboration with Mariachi Los Broncos de Pomona) and other works by Mason Bates, Alex Shapiro, Leonard Bernstein, Joseph Turrin, Clifton Williams, Ferrar Ferran, Franz Schubert and Frank Ticheli. Additionally, we welcome guest faculty artists: Isaac Schankler, Jessie Vallejo, Mike Zonshine and Lori Stuntz. Featuring all three bands: Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Winds and Concert Band. Tickets are $10. Location: University Theatre. We hope you can join us!
