The pandemic has had devastating consequences on the mental health of our children and teens, and sadly there has been a drastic increase in eating disorders over the past year. Many teens feel they are losing sense of control and they are spending more time on social media which can lead to insecurities about self-image. These things can put some teens at risk of developing an eating disorder. The CDC has announced new guidelines for quarantine. You can reduce the number of days of quarantine after exposure if absolutely necessary. You can reduce your quarantine with a negative test, but the test needs to be done 5 days after quarantine begins and you should be asymptomatic. Quarantine can end after the 7th day with a negative test but you need to continue to monitor for symptoms. Alternatively, you can end quarantine at 10 days without a test if no symptoms have developed. The previous guideline of 14 days remains the safest option. #COVID19
