Happy Monday from the Courtyard Roseville! We hope everyone had a restful weekend. This week, we give thanks. We thank the firefighters, who are relentlessly fighting the CA wildfires, putting their own lives on the line to keep us safe. We thank all of the local restaurants and food trucks who have stepped forward when we needed to feed our evacuees. We thank each and every thoughtful person in our community who immediately came to the aide of the evacued families. Our fam...ilies are taken care of this Thanksgiving - we thank everyone who has so graciously opened your home to strangers in need. Today, we serve in gratitude and give back as much as we can. Good Morning from the Courtyard Roseville! At this time, we are not accepting any further donations of gift cards. We are so thankful and grateful for all of the support. We know there are many families still out there who need that kind of assistance. We are researching local organizations who can accept donations, but for now, FEMA and the Red Cross are great places to start. ... Now, we move forward. We keep our doors and our arms open. I am so proud to be a member of this community, knowing that at times like this, we band together to serve. I am so proud of my team and how hard they have worked during this time. We will continue to work to ensure all families are cared for and each and every person who steps into our hotel is treated with the same level of compassion. Thank you so much. The Federal Government has declared the California wildfires a National Emergency Monday night. This is good news for town of Paradise, as federal funding will be released to help. Good Evening from Courtyard Roseville! It was a great day to serve. We heard more heartbreaking stories of escaping and one joyful story of an evacuee learning her house is still standing. More tears and hugs today for all. I would be remiss if I did not mention my incredible team at the Courtyard. Their compassion is unsurpassed. They will do whatever it takes and have continued to amaze me with their kindness and smiles for each and every person in the hotel. I'm so proud ...to be on your team, CY1! Thank you for what you are doing, guys. You're amazing. A huge thank you to Lazy Dog who provided lunch today, and Old Town Pizza who provided dinner tonight. You are wonderful and we appreciate you. Another thank you today to the woman and her daughter who came out and sat in the lobby and colored with the kids. It was music to everyone's ears to hear the laugher and fun coming from the table. (And I have a new rainbow and Hulk drawing in my office!) We are still accepting giftcards, non perishable food, and bottled water. We also have some specific needs for several families. We would accept those specific items. I have the lists; please message me for details. As the guests get settled in, we will begin to understand the Thanksgiving needs and communicate with those who have called and offered food and invited people into their home. We are so grateful for your kindness. The kindness and generosity we continue to see is a breath of fresh air. Thank you again to our community for everything.

It was another great day at the Courtyard today. We accepted coats, blankets, and food. We will continue to accept food but will wait on any other clothing, coats, or blankets until we have any specific requests. I will create the list of restuarants, food trucks, and companies that have helped us over the last couple of days - thank you from the bottom of our hearts. The table is where people come together, so being able to get everyone together for meals has been special.... You are helping us touch so many lives - thank you so much for all of your support and kindness! More to come tomorrow. Goodnight!

I wanted to update everyone on the latest and greatest information that I have: - Between our Roseville 5 hotels - Courtyard, Fairfield Inn, Residence Inn, Homewood Suites, and Courtyard Galleria, we have approx 100 families staying with us. ... - Becky Hendricks will be the main point of contact for the Creekside Ridge hotels - Courtyard Galleria and Homewood Suites. - Jessica Barrows will be the main point of contact for the Taylor Road hotels - Courtyard, Fairfield Inn, and Residence Inn. We are so grateful for all of the calls. We are getting back to each and every person today - thank you for your care. You are truly appreciated. Items that we are still accepting: - Coats in good condition - blankets - batteries - phone charges - non perishable food - we are keeping food out at all times for our families at all hotels. - gift cards/cash - room charges donations We've recieved countless calls for Thanksgiving - we are still trying to understand what the need is and will be sure to keep you informed.
