January 11 is National Human Trafficking Awareness Day. It is a key time for us all as individuals to educate ourselves about human trafficking and crucially to learn to spot the signs of trafficking. National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month, January 2021, culminates in the annual observation of National Freedom Day on February 1, 2021.... If you are in the United States and believe someone may be a victim of human trafficking, call the 24-hour National Human Trafficking Hotline at 1-888-373-7888 or report an emergency to law enforcement by calling 911. Trafficking victims, whether or not U.S. citizens, are eligible for services and immigration assistance (Source: https://bit.ly/3spWAsW)

A message from the Tulare County Fire Department: Don't let your Halloween weekend be ruined by fire. Remember to use flameless LED candles when possible to light up pumpkins or other decorations. Be careful not to overload your electrical outlets with decorations that light up.... This is also a good reminder to change the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors when you move your clocks back this weekend. Thank you, Tulare County Fire Department, for these helpful safety reminders!
