Cottonwood Community Library

We are so happy that we were able to open the Library today. Thank you to all our well-wishers who are also glad that we are here again. After careful thought and discussion, we are postponing Storytime for the time being. We want to be sure that everyone has room and space, and sometimes our Storytimes can become crowded. So give us a little time, and we will continue to monitor the situation. Believe me, we will restart Storytime just as soon as we feel it is prudent to do so. But in the meantime, feel free to come in with your kiddos and pick out some good books to read. They need to hear the spoken word. We have some great books just waiting to be shared. Thank you for understanding our decision!

Guess what?? Monday morning, Jan. 4, 2021, the Cottonwood Community Library will officially be open to the public once again! We have made it through the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday season without seeing all of you, but no more! We will be returning to our regular hours of: Monday 11-5 Tuesday 11-5... Wednesday 11-6 Saturday 11-2 So when you see that flag waving at the top of our flag pole, make a point of stopping in and saying hello. It has been too long! WELCOME BACK - COTTONWOOD COMMUNITY LIBRARY!

In a perfect world, today would be the day that we would be gathering together and criss-crossing across town to take part in the Cottonwood Community Library's Christmas Home Tour. But as you can see, no posters were printed, no tickets were sold, and no houses were listed as being on the tour. We are enduring difficult times right now. The Christmas Home Tour was a great source of revenue for the Library. Sadly, we were not able to hold the event this year. But we at t...he Library want all of you to know that we have not forgotten your support in the past, and we look forward to your support in the future. Please do not forget about us. So instead of greeting you at the homes and wishing you a Merry Christmas in person, we would like to take this opportunity to say it this way. We look forward to seeing you soon! Nov. 8, 2020 I know that I have had to post this before, but here we go again..... Because of the current status of the county's COVID situation, the Library is forced to once again shut down. We are not sure how long this one will be, but believe me, as soon as we get the all-clear, we will re-open. So for now....enjoy the books you have at home to read. Then come back to visit us when we are given the green light to once again be open for business.... This is as hard for us as it is for you. Fingers crossed it won't be for too long! Join us for a real, live Storytime on Wed. Oct. 28 inside the Cottonwood Community Library as we read this year's choice, "Evelyn Del Rey is Moving Away". Our Wednesday , our Storytime numbers will be added to the nationwide numbers for the story being read on Oct. 29. So join us and join the rest of the nation as we all read together to promote literacy and the art and the privilege of reading to children. Your number counts!! All families in attendance will receive a co...py of the book, as long as supplies last. There is no cost to attend. Join us for our regular weekly Storytimes on Wednesdays from 11:30-12:30. (We will be closed for Veteran's Day on 11/11, and again on 11/25 for the Thanksgiving week.)
