HELP! HELP! HELP! Seriously, we, the wineries and craft breweries of not only the Antelope Valley, but ALL OF LOS ANGELES COUNTY are the ONLY such establishments in the entire state that are prevented from offering outdoor tastings of their wares; and many of us teeter on the brink of financial ruin because of it. It is a mistake to lump us with bars and taverns where excessive consumption may occur leading to breakdown of inhibitions and, secondarily, social distancing and... other good hygiene behaviors. At a TASTING room, that is exactly what happens: Tasting! And a limited, predetermined amount of tasting at that. But we are currently allowed only to sell unopened bottles to be consumed elsewhere off premises. But it is unrealistic to expect consumers to purchase beverages they have not tasted. Thank goodness all of us have a core of loyal customers who have helped us all survive because they may already be familiar with many of our products. But as new products come on line, or new customers become aware of our presence and would like to try some of our offerings, it's a lot to ask them to buy blindly. HOW CAN YOU HELP? The State of California has allowed that all outdoor operations of this type are acceptable unless the local jurisdiction prohibits it. LA county is the ONLY county who does prohibit it. Further, the Alcoholic Beverage Commission has agreed to allow businesses such as these to expand their licensed foot print to do allow outdoor tasting during the pandemic. The problem seems to be the LA Board of Supervisors. Some members of the Board, including ours here in the Antelope Valley, seem ready for us to open up well-spaced out door tasting. But there are some hold outs. Please contact ALL members of the Board asking them to allow outdoor tasting on our grounds. Please make them aware that Los Angeles County is the historic home of wine production in California and produces world class wines becoming recognized though respected competitions and national wine publications. Don't let this burgeoning industry become a victim of--not a pandemic-- but foot dragging bureaucracy. #avwinegrowers#avwinegrowersassociation

BARGAIN BLAST FROM THE RECENT PAST! Better Hurry; It Won't Last! (A Rhyme's No Crime When the Wine is Fine!) As we make room for some newly bottled wines (450 cases of 5 tongue tickling new wines) we will be always having at least one clearance wine going for a price below our cost! So stop by the tasting room to get your 2013 Coruce Chardonnay. Bright, refreshing, yet deceptively complex on the finish. While supplies last! ...
