Wearing a red poppy is traditional on Memorial Day (USA) AND on Veteran's Day (USA & global) which is also called Remembrance Day. There is no right or wrong way to wear the poppy, however, the veterans of World War I preferred that women wear on the right lapel and men on the left lapel- over the heart. Also, they requested that the green leaf be positioned at the symbolic 11 o'clock position to commemorate the Eleventh month, Eleventh day, and Eleventh Hour. Yes, please get dressed in business attire coverage below the waist when on camera. Hmm, maybe barefoot is the only shortcut where you're not likely to get caught with unexpected skin showing.
