We want to thank all of our clients (& patients ) for their kindness, patience, and support during this difficult time. Due to COVID-19 we have made the following changes: Beginning this week, we will be temporarily closed on Saturdays. Our new tempory hours are M-F, 8am-5pm. For the safety of staff and clients, we will not be allowing anyone in our lobby at this time. Please call the hospital when you arrive and a technician will collect your pet and a pertinent history. M...ost communication and payment will occur over the phone. We are taking all of the necessary precautions as outlined by the CDC and the AVMA. As an essential business, we want to be available if your pet becomes ill or injured, and to keep them healthy. We thank you for your cooperation. Together we can overcome. Stay safe! If you have questions please contact us at (619) 435-6281 https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html https://www.avma.org/res/animal-health-and-welfare/covid-19
This week has been ruff... So here are some of our adorable dental patients to brighten your weekend! Periodontal disease is the most common dental condition in dogs and cats by the time your pet is 3 years old, he or she will very likely have some early evidence of periodontal disease, which will worsen as your pet grows older if effective preventive measures aren’t taken. Early detection and treatment are critical, because advanced periodontal disease can cause severe... problems and pain for your pet. Periodontal disease doesn’t just affect your pet’s mouth. Other health problems found in association with periodontal disease include kidney, liver, and heart muscle changes. . . #coronadoveterinaryhospital #dogsofinstagram #pupsofinstagram #coronado #animalhealth #dental #dentistry #vetmed #coronadodogbeach #coronadoisland #animalhealth #coronadobeach @ Coronado Veterinary Hospital See more

Joolaa needs a loving home! Meet Joolaa. Joolaa has been living at Coronado Vet for a couple months since she was relinquished by her owner. She is 16yrs old and we have just diagnosed her with cancer We are looking for a loving home with no other pets or children to take Joolaa in for her last days. We aren't positive how long she has left but we want her to live in a "real" home during her final journey.... All medical expenses will be paid for by Coronado Vet including prescriptions, exams, labwork, etc. If you or a friend have the space and heart to help please call us at 619-435-6281. #adoptaseniorcat #petfosters #coronadoisland #helpaseniorpet #pawsofcoronado #coronadocares
