One of our staff brought in this pregnant stray cat 6 weeks ago, and she gave birth to 7 healthy kittens. Last week, one of our clients brought in an abandoned 3 week old stray kitten. We tried placing her with the mother cat to see if she would take care of this one as well, and here is the result: Good momma! P.S. If anyone would like to adopt a kitten or this momma, please call the hospital!

What do you feed your dog? It's the number one question veterinarians get asked. And now the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine is urging pet owners to take... a second look at their dog's diet. A new study found a link between some popular grain-free dog foods, with a high content of legumes, and canine heart disease called dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM). The disease can lead to sudden death in dogs. Thank you Dr. Joshua Stern, UC Davis veterinary cardiologist, for taking the time to explain your findings and bring your sweet golden retriever Lira onto the show.
