The California Contract Cities Association mourns the passing of Cerritos Council Member Jim Edwards on Sunday, May 10, 2020. On behalf of the entire California Contract Cities Family, we would like to extend our sincerest condolences to the Edwards family and the City of Cerritos. Council Member Edwards was originally elected to the Cerritos City Council in 2005. He was re-elected in 2009, 2015, and 2020. He also served as Mayor from 2008-2009 and 2012-2013.... Council Member Edwards retired from the ABC School District after 30 years where he was a teacher and administrator. Jim and his wife Connie were married for 52 years and share a son and daughter with six grandchildren and one great-grandson. We will pass along any information on upcoming services as it is made available.
