Contra Costa Audio Production 31.12.2020

Please tell everyone you know that the full class of Music 130 is coming in the spring semester to CCC again. We have been informed it will be listed as an in-person class, but will remain flexible for some on-line instruction depending on the circumstances. Below is a link to the campus music department list of classes. Use the "APPLY NOW" button to sign up. https://www.contracosta.edu//academic-depar/music/courses/ Music 130:... COURSE DESCRIPTION: The course is focused on providing practical technical and theoretical understanding of the different aspects of modern audio production. This is a lecture course but with a great degree of physical demonstration and in-studio session work. There is hands-on training for conceptual reinforcement, and testing for evaluation. STUDENT LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this course students should have a basic understanding of the terminology, equipment, and concepts employed in modern audio production. The student should be able to set up or assist in setting up an actual recording session in a multi-track studio environment - to include signal flow in both record and mix modes of operation, microphone choice and application (includes application of mics for acoustic drums), and basic effects processing. This course uses what is still the industry standard audio production software, Pro Tools.
