Saturday, Nov. 14 was Physical Therapist Day in Ecuador and we are so thankful for all of our therapists, such as Julia here, that work so hard to care for and support our patients. These therapists are instrumental in the healing process of our patients we are so grateful!

A little bit of compassion goes a long way. Share hope, show compassion, extend some grace, demonstrate empathy, and let’s do what we can to bring more love and healing to our world!

Meet Daniel! We have recently partnered with another organization in Kenya, Hope Matters International, and Daniel is a therapist we are sponsoring through their local hospital. We know he will be a huge asset for us in continuing to bring therapy to the community. . Daniel has already started working with patients dealing with chronic health problems, making home visits to an elderly man, and has started working with our patient with serious lymphedema (elephantiasis) and chronic wound care. . Our physical therapy clinic in Kipkaren, Kenya is open and providing valuable care and support for people in the local community. Nancy is getting close to being on maternity leave , so Moses is helping in the clinic two days a week. . As seen in the photos, our therapists continue to use simple equipment to bring instrumental healing to the people they treat, such as the resistance band for upper extremity strengthening. ECUADOR update: In light of the current COVID-19 pandemic, our Ecuador clinic is currently only open for emergency cases. However, our partnering organization, the Santiago Partnership, is hard at work serving the local community of Cayambe and the surrounding areas. They have been collecting and donating non-perishable food items and cleaning supplies to vulnerable families, and we are grateful for all they are doing in a time like this.

These are unprecedented times we find ourselves in and our clinics all around the world have been hard at work doing what we feel we have been called to do: bring hope and healing to those in need. . We will have updates in the days and weeks to come on what each clinic has been doing, but just know our clinics are doing all they can to safely serve the communities they are in.
