RAPE ON THE RISE In my work as a therapist I am getting an increasing number of calls from women needing therapy because they have been drugged and raped. Th...e incidents are recent. So far the women calling in for help report meeting their attackers while out with friends at a bar or driving for Lyft. This is reportedly happening in Fullerton, Newport Beach, and Irvine areas. LADIES please be careful! Especially with your drinks. I don't want to instill panic, however this is a real problem happening to a lot of women right now. By all means go out, live your life and have fun - just be careful while you're doing it. If you have a drink and need to use the bathroom, just take it with you or dump it. See more

Henry James said "We work in the dark - we do what we can - we give what we have. Our doubt is our passion and our passion is our task." I think that "we work in the dark" means we don't know how the world will treat us, we can't read the minds of others, we barely understand ourselves. Change is the only true constant variable in our equation so "we work in the dark." "We do what we can", the problems of this world can be overwhelming. Alone we aren't sure if the effort of ...one person is enough to make a difference. Yet we still do what we can. 'We give what we have" our contributions carry more power then we know. Our fear that it's never enough is part of the test. "Our doubt is our passion because" we work in the dark. We are blind to most of what is going on in the hearts and minds of others. We doubt we can make a difference. Often consumed by fear of the unknown we doubt our own greatness. However in all this darkness, hope still exists at the bottom of Pandora's Box. With hope we turn our doubt into passion. "Our passion is our task"- transforming doubt into passion results in rocket fuel. Bravely we use this powerful and primal energy to fuel our dreams and to manifest reality. See more
