Who is ready for 2021?! Not me! That’s why I’ll be out of the office from December 27th through January 3rd taking some rejuvenating mental health days, enjoying good food and good drinks and patting myself on the back for making it through the most challenging year of my career this far. 2021 will pose new challenges and will be accompanied by new celebrations. Best of weddings 2021! Winning The Knot Best of Weddings has always meant a lot to me. As you can imagine, this year is especially meaningful. This has been the most challenging year of my career. It tore me up inside not being able to have all of the answers for my couples. So many things were out of my control and were changing so rapidly! To say it was stressful would be the understatement of the year. Still, we were able to celebrate some beautiful marriages! I am SO ...GRATEFUL to have the couples that I have. You all have handled this year with such grace and so much patience. You all have been flexible and rolled with the punches and I just want to say THANK YOU. Today feels like a massive breath of fresh air. Today I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. No idea when the tunnel ends but I can finally see the light and I am beyond thrilled to get back to work and start sending my brides and grooms down the aisle! It’s been 236 days since I did a wedding and I’m not going to lie, I’ll probably be in the back crying happy tears after I send my first couple down to be married. I’m a planner. I enjoy planning my week, having a schedule for the day and generally knowing what’s going to happen next. Today finally feels like a breath of fresh air amid the chaos as I plan out the week and get reorganized with changed event dates and meeting postponements from the last two weeks. I don’t know when we will see the light at the end of this tunnel but I know we will eventually get there and we will all get there together. It’s been a rough week. My heart has never broken more times than it has this week alone. My heart has broken my couples overwhelmed with so many wedding changes so close to their date. For my friends dealing with financial uncertainty. And for businesses falling apart each day. I am so grateful for the flexibility from the teams I’ve been working with and I am fortunate to be able to serve some of the most amazing and patient couples.
