Hey Everybody... October is Italian-American Heritage and Culture Month! To kick off our celebration of "all things Italian", we are sharing the Italian proverb: Chi ben comincia è già a metà dell'opera which kind of translates to "Well begun is half done" or "Start well and you are already half way there".... I always feel anxious and concerned, when I think about having to update my advance directive! I feel paralyzed with fear about picking the right medical decision maker for me. I am still in the process of figuring out, who I feel really understands and accepts what is important to me and will have the skill to make sure my needs are met. I'm looking forward to that " moment of confirmation" were I confidently feel that this ,in fact, is my person!" This proverb makes me feel secure by reminding me that if I start the prep work now...sooner than later, I will have the best medical decision maker for me! What is your process for making challenging decisions or starting something new? Share below.
