Come Unto Christ in Northern San Diego 14.02.2021

What is the parable of the wheat and the tares? It is a parable of patience and trial. We look and see in our day to day world how easy it is to get lost in the gunk and the mud, but it is also parable of peace knowing that if we are striving to be like Christ we will not only make it out at the end but thrive. Elder Cook said speaking of this parable But speaking of the faithful, He said, Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. As individuals, disciples of Christ, living in a hostile world that is literally in commotion, we can thrive and bloom if we are rooted in our love of the Savior and humbly follow His teachings. So how are you the wheat among the tares going to thrive and Bloom today? Go check it out for yourself! Matthew 13:24-30

Elder James E. Talmage taught about the parable of the wheat and the tares: "One cardinal lesson of the parable . . . is that of patience, long-suffering, and tolerationeach an attribute of Deity and a trait of character that all men should cultivate." We are invited to de-clutter this week for #LikeChrist - let this parable also be a reminder that if everything isn't perfect in our lives, that's the way it's supposed to be. Just like the wheat in the story, we may take a while to grow, but we are on a journey that extends far beyond this life. God is perfectly patient with us! What can help us be patient as we strive to be #LikeChrist?

We can all prepare now by becoming more #LikeChrist What's one thing you will prepare for this week? (A test, work, a trip, etc.) How can you begin preparing now? Share in the comments down below

This is my bookshelf, from the flimsy metal poles, to the screws who always like come loose, to the legs that shake and wobble every time I take out a book, she has flaws, and there are quite few. Despite all of that, it holds many things that are close to my heart, and one of them is books :)) We were invited to tidy up something in our home for this weeks #LikeChrist, and making this little bookshelf made me feel so proud. We can make anything beautiful, out of hardly anything. The Lord sees us this way too, he takes us, and our flaws, and turns us into something great, because he wants the best for us, just like I did for my little bookshelf :)) What do you have that you are most proud of? Send a picture of it in the comments
