She is the most positive, hardworking woman I have ever met. Like a busy bee she zips around doing quiet service and spreading kindness everywhere she goes. Day 13: Serene Sunday Take time to reflect like Jesus did. Tune out distractions and find a quiet place to think about what brings you closer to God. While the pier and PCH is anything but serene lately, if you take the time to walk to the end of the pier there's really nothing between you and the setting sun except the big, vast beautiful Pacific Ocean and Catalina Island. Day 10: Light the Family Trees Like Jesus, you can honor those who came before. Learn about one of your ancestors and share their story on social media. There is not enough words in the English dictionary that could eloquently describe what a pure soul our grandma was. She was kind, charitable, and passionate. But she was also strong, protective, and selfless. ... The rule of thumb in her home was, if you come unprepared to her home and had excuses, be prepared to be chased with the kikau broom. Be ready, fit, and fast. There was never a dull moment at the Mareiti home. There was always friends, family, parties, and food with lots of love to go around. My memories are only fond ones. I lost her while I was still young but she left an imprint on my heart that I could never forget. I remember spending lots of time with her. I remember sleeping over at her house. I remember the lollies she would give me. But most of all I knew and felt that she loved me unconditionally.
