College of Marin Athletics

College of Marin and College of Marin Athletics is pleased to announce the naming of their basketball court in honor of NBA Hall of Famer Don Barksdale. Barksdale player for College of Marin from 1941-1943 before embarking on a career that saw him win multiple championships with UCLA. He was the first African American on the US Olympic Basketball Team in 1948 and the the first to play in an NBA All-Star Game. He played in the NBA for the Baltimore Bullets and the Boston Celtics.
