PTAB EMPLOYMENT Tomato Inspectors & Intermediates Duties: Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have a high school education or GED, or three months experience working with fruits and vegetables working fruits and vegetables. Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Willingness to learn and follow inspections procedures. Ability to communicate in English and follow oral instructions, read and write legibly in English, prepare cleat and accurate reports d...o simple mathematical computations and read a refractometer accurately. Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time and lift up to 25lbs. in a safe manner. Ability to deal with exposure to temperature extremes and various types of dust, pollen and insects. Willingness to travel as required. Normal color vision, or vision corrected to normal. Ability to explain PTAB policies and procedures to members of the industry as well as other inspectors. All employees at the inspector level and above are required to have a car with proof of insurance, a valid driver’s license, and must provide PTAB with current DMV printout. Intermediate classification employees are not required to have a car, insurance, or DMV printout. All applicants must pass a pre-employment drug test if requested.
