So as we all know I do a lot of platinum blonde hair. I commonly get clients asking me why their hair yellows after only a couple of washes and I end up telling them about what it takes to maintain your platinum. Healthy platinum hair will not stay white forever toner makes that shade come out. If your hair does stay platinum and never yellows again there is a chance it is damaged or you're a natural ash blonde which is completely rare. Yellowing varies based on 1. How often ...you wash your hair (don't expect toner to last 3 weeks if you wash daily platinum should only be washed bi-weekly) 2. Whether you're using purple or blue shampoo or just regular store baught products. And 3. Weather you're a smoker or deal with environmental vapors etc (rare but yes smoking yellows your blonde more).
