What do you think a day without water would look like? No water to drink, shower with, or make coffee with. Hospitals would close and fires couldn't be stopped. Many Americans take water for granted every day. Imagine a Day Without Water 2020 is a day to raise awareness and educate America about the value of water. ... We’ve been experiencing some absolutely beautiful fall days in Orange County lately! While this means the sun is setting on sweet summertime, it also means winter is coming... In anticipation of the wetter winter weather, Coastkeeper staff is hard at work gearing up for this year’s stormwater monitoring program. Each rainy season, Coastkeeper recruits and trains stormwater monitors to collect runoff samples, which are then sent out for laboratory testing. Lab results reveal pollutant concentrations and help Coastkeeper’s legal term evaluate compliance with discharge permit obligations. Coastkeeper is currently recruiting monitors for the 2020-2021 season. Poseidon knows they cant get their project approved on merit. This is why they have contributed $197,792.46 to candidates running for OCWD and MWDOC director seats in the last month. Don’t Let Poseidon buy its way to approval, sign our petition at https://www.californiadesalfacts.org/5-reasons-to-oppose/
