Adios Brown County! This morning's run took us out of Brown County and gave us about a 4 mile taste of what Coleman County is going to bring us! Twas anothe...r solo run, which about the next 2 months [at least] will likely be, but there were plenty of animals to talk with!! I had the Trooper laughing at the half dozen or so cows that followed me for the first couple hundred yards! But then I scared a baby and it ran away and then all the others just stared.... Quite a bit of traffic for such a cloudy and miserable looking day but also TONS of honks and waves! One woman even asked where I was walking too and when I said "San Diego, CA" and told her I'd be there Thursday, she just replied... "Oh Heavens!" I stayed dry from the threat of rain but under all that plastic I sweat probably MORE than I have ever sweat on a run before, so... Welcome to Bangs, Texas! Come with us as we blaze a trail right through Bangs, Texas this morning! Blink twice and you'll miss it but it's there!! I expecte...d cloudy skies and warmer weather but the fog was a total surprise this morning! Robyn and her husband Isadore came along for the historic jaunt through Bangs and to cross over the point at which I am the closest I will get to the geographic center of the state of Texas! As usual we had our Trooper keeping us safe in this foggy soup and we had a handful of passing vehicles hon and/or wave to us! We also had the opportunity to talk with several dogs and some sheep along the way. I even got to let a sheep dog sniff my hand through the fence... and then he started barking?!?!
