Taking a moment to reflect on the past 6 months or so. This picture of Madeline reflects so perfectly with how I feel about my life right now. Yes, stress has been high, @dr_ace_nmd and I have been dealing with a LOT! Between running two businesses, fighting our HOA to do the right thing, finding a new house that we LOVE, getting our condo ready for market with a complete remodel...the energy to focus on fitness has been pushed to the back burner. . Yet, these experiences hav...e drawn me and my wife closer than ever, realizing what an incredible team and partnership we truly have. I couldn’t be happier to be on this crazy journey we call life with my best friend by my side the whole way. . Learning how to handle and manipulate firearms was a skill I always wanted to learn, but I just couldn’t find anyone that understood how to progress people safely, until I found @iannelliprecision . As you saw from the slides above, muscle loss can begin as early as your 30's! It's not enough to just go to your local HIIT class a few times a week, or run endlessly without a plan or a purpose behind it. You must create stress to your bones, muscles and ligaments (in a well controlled manner). . Building muscle takes time, and having a coach design a roadmap to how you will achieve this takes the guesswork out of it. . Forget "skinny"...STRONG is the new sexy. . What a woman. What a mother. What a personality! @therealbarbdowney had such an amazing life. We cherished her and the amazing person she was, so much. . My mom’s friend sent me this picture this morning and it immediately made me cry tears of pure joy. Of course I’m sad, it so damn happy that she so loved and cherished by others as well. Makes me proud to be her son.

Yesterday this world lost a bright star. The sky was a bit darker without her shinning in it. . My mom was one of the most incredible souls I’ve ever known. Always a smile. Always a joke waiting to be told. She could always find the positivity in a situation, as well as the humor. . This picture truly captures everything that she was. Bright, happy, loving, funny, empathetic, caring and incredibly kind.... . I never heard anyone say anything bad about her. Ever. . I am saddened and heartbroken by her passing WAY too soon, but am so grateful that I was lucky enough to call her my mom, and to have the wonderful memories of her that I do. Take @dr_ace_nmd for example, after a childhood car accident, she was left with a LOT of trauma to her pelvis (multiple fractures). Squatting normally was never something that she thought she would be able to improve. . After years of pushing hard in endurance sports and not having a plan, her body and nervous system were telling her to slow down. Making progress in her fitness was becoming elusive, frustrating and down right exhausting to continue to pursue! . Then...enter her OPEX coach Coach Michael Bann . They worked tirelessly together to rebuild her nervous system (which took years by the way), build trust that things would get better over time, and develop a coach/client relationship that has lasted for years! . It’s not always a linear progression. There will be lows and here will be highs. But having a coach to guide you through it all is what makes the journey worth pursuing! . It took 7 years for me to get to this weight. I remember feeling like I was never going to be able to squat again due to pain Today I am so proud of my progress and my journey.
