Here is still the man with the deadliest start. Asafa Powell has an amazing burst as he comes out of the blocks. However, how do we strengthen this? Cleans? Sna...tch? Squat? Which one of these parallel stance lifts will actually transfer into a sprint?? Are they limited in terms of the translation that they actually carry over into the sprint itself?? What is the start position with the feet? (Offset) How are the hips positioned from the start? (Offset and shifted) I what direction does the force generated from the hip go? (Out not vertically) Where are the hands going? (Through gravity not just against it) Do both hips extend? (Actually one hip goes further into flexion) ^^^ These are things to think about when you are looking at sprinting. Maybe try not to be too attached to old ways of thinking. I'm sure they have seen some results, (we all know the benefits) but maybe there is more out there in order to take things to the next level. #projectresistance #wearetheresistance
