The deadline for high school seniors to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the California Dream Act Application (CDAA) is Tuesday, March 2, 2021. The CNUSD Board of Education has called a Special Meeting of the Board tomorrow, to discuss the Safe Schools for All Plan proposal which was shared by the Governor on Dec. 30th, and its impacts on the reopening of our schools. REOPENING SCHOOLS UPDATE: TK-6 REMOTE/TRADITIONAL Elementary Families, as you know, our Traditional/Remote elementary students are scheduled to return to in-person instruction in January, following winter break. We would like to provide the following clarification to our reopening dates: Elementary students will return physically to school on the following dates:... Year-Round: Tuesday, January 5th Traditional: Tuesday, January 12th Students will still be expected to participate remotely (from home) on Monday, prior to their return to in-person instruction, where they will be provided information and updates on what to expect for the following day as they return to school sites. The reason for this change is to provide teachers and staff a preparation day on campus for the return to in-person instruction, as outlined in our Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with CNTA. In a continued effort for transparency, CNUSD has launched a new COVID-19 Case Dashboard for public display on our website to share the number of active and total confirmed cases of COVID-19 that have been present on our school sites and district office since the beginning of the 20-21 school year. Please note: These are reported positive cases of students and staff that have been ON campus or district site (ie: small group cohorts, athletic conditioning, etc.) and were on campus within 48 hours prior to the positive test or onset of symptoms. The data is broken down by location and divided by students and staff. The Dashboard is continually updated throughout the day and can be accessed online via www.cnusd.k12.ca.us/covid

#WellnessWednesday: Congratulations to our wonderful All-Stars team at Eleanor Roosevelt High School for winning the 2020 CSBA Golden Bell Award! The All-Stars Program supports foster youth, keeping them connected with their school and community.

UPDATE 3:15 p.m.: Our online systems are now up and running, thank you for your patience. Power outage: Please be advised that the area near the district office is experiencing a power outage which is affecting the District’s servers and interrupting access to MyCNUSD and Parent Connect. CNUSD is currently working with Southern California Edison to resolve the issue. We will provide a follow-up post once power is restored.
