"WHAT DID I LEARN TODAY?" Club President Memphis Huff offered this insight: Don't judge a book ... When we have guests attend a meeting, it's important to learn what caught their interest in coming to our meeting. This allows us to share the benefits of becoming a Toastmaster that fit the need of the guest.... However, if we judge a guest's skill and experience too quickly from our first impression, we may not express the right benefit that will encourage them to return. We should always talk to them to learn what they desire to learn. Then we can show them that this organization is a great way to reach that goal.

Welcome to Phonic Fury Toastmasters Club! My name is Mykal. I am the club's V.P. of Public Relations. I am announcing the start of a new series for our Facebook page. "What Did I Learn Today?" Every week after our meeting draws to a close, I will ask the people who have attended the meeting to share one thing that they learned during the meeting. I will select one of the statements and post it here.... I hope to show that Toastmasters is a great place to learn and grow.
