We have been inundated with generous people and organizations seeking to donate food, water, snacks, and other supplies at our basecamp. We appreciate your gen...erosity, but are unable to accept donations. The firefighters assigned to the #CreekFire have all the supplies necessary. If you are looking to donate, we suggest looking into a local charity to see if they are accepting donations. Again, we appreciate your generosity and desire to help!

#creekfire PM Update

Clovis Country Lions Club 13.09.2020

During a disaster, it takes a community to respond and that’s exactly what we’ve seen during the last week. Last Sunday, the Chick-fil-A Blackstone and Chick-f...il-A Fashion Fair team opened up their closed kitchen to deliver meals to those affected by the #CreekFire. Dozens more partners have joined since then and the pride we have in our community knows no limit. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you

You've likely heard the term evacuation center, or evacuation point, over the past few days, as many of these sites have opened across our area in response to t...he #CreekFire. But what exactly is an Red Cross evacuation point, and what services are available? Evacuation points are rest sites for those impacted by disaster to assess their needs and for the Red Cross to present options for lodging. Snacks, water and COVID-19 resources are provided at these sites by Red Cross volunteers. Clovis North High School and Mariposa County Fairgrounds serve as a temporary home for anyone displaced by the #CreekFire. Trained Red Cross disaster workers are working 24/7 to serve meals and snacks, ensure everyone has a safe place to sleep, provide toiletries and access to disaster health services - all while maintaining CDC-recommended guidelines to protect against COVID-19. Our mission is to help those impacted by disaster, and that's exactly what we're doing - and will continue to do - no matter what. When an emergency happens, the American Red Cross delivers help to whoever needs it, and as part of our humanitarian mission, will feed, shelter and provide other support regardless of race, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, or citizenship status. Red Cross shelters are open to everyone in need, all disaster assistance is free. : Cindy Huge/American Red Cross

THANK YOU to all of you that want to donate pet food and other items. However, please DO NOT donate pet food as we are overwhelmed by people dropping it off. ...At this time, we need CASH donations to purchase supplies as needed for the FOUR shelters we are currently operating. Go to CCADT.ORG to donate or donate here through Facebook. We appreciate it! See more

Help California wildfire victims California has recently experienced nearly 11,000 lightning strikes in the last 72 hours and record temperatures. California firefighters are reportedly battling over 350 known fires and more than 60,000 California residents have evacuated because of fires that are burning about 780 square miles across the state. That's an area equal to about half the size of Rhode Island. California Lions clubs are working with their local communities to serv...e and assist victims of these devastating fires. California Lions Foundation is ready to support our California Lions clubs as they serve their community and neighbors. Your donation directly helps fire disaster victims, especially those victims that have been impacted so hard throughout the areas where the wildfires have destroyed their communities. As a tax exempt charitable 501(c)(3) entity, the California Lions Foundation is here to provide you with the opportunity to help those in need. https://calionsfoundation.org/donate Now more than ever we need to come together as Lions and help support our neighbors and our communities throughout California in a time of unprecedented need. Thank you for your support in these difficult times. Sincerely PCC Rob Manning President, California Lions Foundation
